So, Pete LePage walks us through different types of storage on the web, over on the Google Chrome Developers YouTube channel. He goes on to say that the Caching Storage API and IndexedDB are the best modern options to move forward with.

The most interesting part I found was when he went into detail about the rules browsers have in place for how long you app's data persists on the client's machine.
